World-class expertise XRF
The laboratory has a long history, origainally as a key part of the technical support department for the Wheal Jane poly-metallic processing plant, also providing analytical services to to associated mines operated by Rio Tinto in Cornwall.
Following the closure of Cornwalls last operating tin mine in 1998, the laboratory has undergone a commercial renaissance and enjoys a global client base, including SGS Europe, Wardell Armstrong International, The Environment Agency, United Utilities, East Med Minerals, Unipure Europe and Ocean Partners.
At any given time, the Laboratory will be working on ore samples from all over the world side by side with environmental samples from here at home in the UK.
One of our specialist environmental services is PBET testing for toxic metals.
Our XRF spectrometer is now in action. X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis is a fast, non-destructive and environmentally friendly process with very high accuracy and reproducibility. All elements of the periodic table from beryllium to californium can be measured qualitatively, semi-quantitatively and quantitatively in powders, solids and liquids.
The majority of our work is mining related analysis and consultancy (including assay) and environmental soil and water analysis. Call us on 01872 560200.
